As Christian Democrats we to want help build a society where people are willing and able to care for each other and where the weaker ones are looked after. Our aim is that initiative and enterprise in our society are rewarded. We hold up the family as the basic unit of our country but we do not forget those who live alone.

The basic values of Christian democracy are human dignity, social responsibility and a right relationship between mankind and nature. We want to work for holistic, long-term and ecologically responsible development.

Well-being cannot be built relying only on material values. Our own well-being, our functioning economic life and an ever more international business world need a strong ethical base. Neighbourliness, respecting others and distinguishing between right and wrong are the starting points of an enduring value base.

Our work is based on Christian values which, in decision making, are seen in our transparency, honesty and our support of justice and equality. Finland's Christian Democrat Party is open to all; it's a party where people's concerns and desires are listened to and taken forward in decision making.
